Watany is designed to help Lebanese military veterans and their family members access guidance and information related to benefits, pensions, compensation, healthcare, education, and administrative procedures.

C. Data we do not collect by default

4) WhatsApp & Meta Platform Data
If you contact Watany via WhatsApp, Meta/WhatsApp processes your data under their own terms and policies. We receive and process WhatsApp messages and metadata necessary to provide replies.
- We use the WhatsApp Business API to receive messages and send responses.
- We do not initiate phone calls or take control of your device. We may provide tap-to-call numbers or instructions.
- We only access media (photos/docs/voice notes) that you send to us.

5) AI Processing & Knowledge Base
Watany may use AI models (e.g., OpenAI-compatible models or other providers) to interpret your request and draft responses. We also use an internal knowledge base to ground answers.
- Grounding: we aim to answer using the knowledge base and provide structured, step-by-step guidance.
- No guaranteed legal advice: responses are informational and may require confirmation with official sources.
- Transcription: if voice transcription is enabled, audio may be processed to produce text.

We share data only when necessary:
- Service providers: hosting, logging, database, and (if enabled) AI/STT/TTS providers to operate the service.
